Former WWE employee Janel Grant sent massive reverberations throughout the sports world this week when she filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon and her former employers.
In the suit, Grant claimed that she was abused and trafficked by McMahon and his co-workers. She cited multiple instances of troubling behavior by all parties involved.
Initially the main motivation for Grant coming out publicly was said to be the fact that she wasn’t paid the entirety of the $3 million she was promised by McMahon to stay quiet. Instead, she received $1 million only.
This week, however, Grant’s attorney claimed she had another reason for breaking her silence.
“She hopes those at the company past and present who fear speaking out about harm is a thing of the past,” Grant said in a statement. “She wishes them all peace.”
In the days since Grant filed her lawsuit, troubling photos have leaked depicting her sordid text message exchanges with McMahon.

Grant maintains that McMahon shared explicit photos and videos of her without her permission with other WWE workers.
On Thursday, McMahon’s team issued a statement saying that Grant’s lawsuit was “riddled with falsehoods, baseless fabrications of events that never transpired, and a malicious distortion of the truth.”
“Mr. McMahon intends to vigorously defend himself against these allegations,” a spokesperson added.
Other WWE personalities have also come under fire for their role in Grant’s lawsuit. A troubling Brock Lesnar video, specifically, has been making the rounds over the past 24 hours.
As a result of his involvement in Grant’s lawsuit, Lesnar may not be permitted to perform at Saturday’s huge WWE Royal Rumble event.
McMahon, similarly, was forced to step down from all roles with the WWE as a result of his inclusion in Grant’s lawsuit.
