Taylor Swift – Her Religion
For many years Taylor had kept her lips sealed on what religious beliefs she had. There had been rumors that when she was around 20 Taylor went to Cross Point Church in Nashville.
But it was with the release of Taylor’s Netflix documentary Miss Americana that she took a position and publicly said that she was a Christian.
The trigger point was when Taylor returned to her home state of Tennessee and endorsed the Democratic candidate running in the 2018 election. Taylor was visibly upset about the beliefs the Republican senator Marsha Blackburn had.
“Those aren’t Tennessee Christian values. I live in Tennessee. I’m a Christian. That’s not what we stand for,” Taylor is seen saying in the documentary.
Taylor has also donated over $250,000 dollars to Christian schools in the past.
Taylor Swift – Her Political Views
Taylor does not like to talk about her politics under a public spotlight unless it is about issues that matter deeply to her.
She seems to support politicians that reflect her personal values and has supported both Republican and Democratic causes but right now leans democratic.
For example, Taylor performed at the 2008 Republican National Convention and once stated on her Myspace page, “Republicans do it better.”
Taylor has also publicly claimed that she supported President Barack Obama and “so glad” Obama was the candidate she voted for in her first election that she could vote in.
While she hasn’t come outright and said she isn’t a supporter of President Donald Trump, Taylor has hinted that she’s not impressed with his leadership.
“Really, I keep trying to learn as much as I can about politics, and it’s become something I’m now obsessed with, whereas before, I was living in this sort of political ambivalence, because the person I voted for had always won,” Taylor said in an interview published in 2019.
And in another telling statement, Taylor Swift said: “I do think, as a party, we need to be more of a team… with Republicans, if you’re wearing that red hat, you’re one of them. And if we’re going to do anything to change what’s happening, we need to stick together. We need to stop dissecting why someone’s on our side or if they’re on our side in the right way or if they phrased it correctly.”
That clinches it for us — Taylor is currently a Democrat in her national politics.
Taylor Swift – Her Hobbies
Some of Taylor’s hobbies include cooking and baking, hiking, waterskiing, volleyball, and making crafts. She even loves things like making jam, face-painting, and going to coffee shops. She also loves her dog and can often be seeing playing fetch with Meredith taking pictures.
Taylor Swift – Her Workout Routine
Taylor is a big fan of cardio. She makes sure she runs an hour on a treadmill wherever she is or does an hour on an elliptical. She does it every day and loves to sweat out all her toxins. This is why she’s in such good shape even though she lives a busy lifestyle as a music artist.
Taylor Swift – Her Beliefs on Gay Marriage
Swift is a vocal supporter of gay marriage. She’s expressed her support numerous times, such as in the song lyrics of “Welcome to New York”: And you can want who you want… Boys and boys and girls and girls.
