Kelly Preston was an American actress married to actor John Travolta. Preston started her acting career in 1983 playing minor roles in movies.
Born on October 13, 1962 in Honalulu, Hawaii, Preston’s zodiac sign is Libra. Her middle name is Kamelelehua, a Hawaaian name that means “gardens of lehuas”, a native flower. Her given surname is Smith but changed it to Preston when she began her stage career.

Kelly Preston – Her Religion
Kelly has been a practitioner of Scientology since marrying her husband John Travolta in 1991.

Preston married Travolta in a Scientology ceremony on September 5, 1991 in Paris, France. The couple then had a second ceremony for friends and family in America a few weeks later.
Kelly and John are parents to three children: oldest son Jett (born 1992), Ella Bleu (born 2000) and Benjamin (born 2011).
In 2009 their son Jett suffered a seizure and struck his head on a bathtub. Tragically, the severity of Jett’s injury was fatal and he passed away.
Italian opera singer Placido Domingo’s daughter-in-law Sam, who was a Scientologist for 22 years, gave an interview stating that Travolta tried to bring his son’s spirit back into his body using a Scientologist belief.
“John Travolta did a ‘Bring Back To Life’ assist while Jett was in the ambulance, it’s where you order the Thetan to get back into the body, saying: ‘I command you to get into the body now.’ This is meant to raise them back to life,” Domingo told the press.
Domingo also said that Preston would believe that her departed son Jett was reincarnated in the body of Benjamin. “When you lose a child in Scientology, you believe that the spirit — Thetan — has left that physical body and will find another one,” she told the reporter. “In the case of Kelly, she got pregnant while she was being audited (counselled) several months later and Ben was born just over a year and a half after Jett’s death. She will believe the Thetan of Jett is in Ben.”
Asked to comment on what Sam Domingo said, the Church of Scientology gave this remark: “There is no ‘revelation’ in what Sam Domingo told you. She has been making false claims about the Scientology religion for the last decade, using her past connection to famous individuals to peddle her lies to tabloid.”
Preston was once married before her relationship with Travolta. From 1985 to 1987 the actress was married to Kevin Gage, an actor she met while filming the movie Space Camp.

Kelly Preston’s career spanned multiple genres and decades. In 1985, Preston landed her breakout movie role, starring as Marilyn McCauley in the 1985 flick Mischief. In the rom-com, Preston played the most popular girl in school, who a nerdy student tries to impress with the help of a womanizing new kid.
She continued in line with comedic roles during most of the ’80s in films including Secret Admirer, SpaceCamp, and Twins.
Preston wrapped up the decade by starring in The Experts, the comedy film where she met and fell for Travolta.
Preston went on to star alongside Patrick Dempsey in the action flick Run (1991), then took a turn toward mystery with Eric Roberts in Love Is a Gun (1994), and staged an epic performance in Jerry Maguire in 1996.
Preston and Travolta once again shared the screen in the 2000 sci-fi film Battlefield Earth. In 2003 she took on the role of a free-spirited single-mom to Amanda Bynes in What a Girl Wants. That same year, Preston starred in The Cat in the Hat, and continued with family films into 2005 as a superhero in Sky High.

Kelly Preston -Death of son
Jett Travolta died in 2009 following an accident while the family was vacationing in the Bahamas. He was 16. He died after hitting his head in a bathtub while having a seizure.
Jett Travolta was autistic. He had seizures and when he was very young, he had Kawasaki Syndrome. He was the couple’s first born child.
Kelly Preston – Her Death
On July 12, 2020 Preston passed away after a two-year battle with breast cancer. The actress and mother of three chose to keep her fight with the disease undisclosed to the public.
“Choosing to keep her fight private, she had been undergoing medical treatment for some time, supported by her closest family and friends,” a family representative told media outlets. “She was a bright, beautiful and loving soul who cared deeply about others and who brought life to everything she touched. Her family asks for your understanding of their need for privacy at this time.”
Kelly left behind her 20-year-old daughter Ella, 9-year-old son Benjamin, and her husband of 28 years John Travolta.
